Geiger's commentary on "The Nativity Story" was right on. I didn't go see it as I knew it was the same old Protestant version of the birth of Christ. I have yet to see in any of Hollywood's relgious movies that even infer His miraculous birth. Our Lady is seen as a bewildered teenager (albeit who wants to do God's will) just trodding along without a clue to what is going to happen. I remember when "Mary and Joseph, a Love Story" was released my fundamentalist cousin says to me "It's a good movie because it doesn't put Mary on a Pedastal where you Catholics put her" I reminded her that Christ is the one who put His mother on that pedastal and we simply imitate Christ. Good artile Fr. Geiger.
